Firefox keeps opening an old tab. How can I stop this?

more options

When I open Firefox, it not only opens a tab with my home page but a second tab which contains an old search that I did. How can I get it to stop? I am using Firefox 30.0 and it states it is up to date as of today 7/13/14. I have Windows 7 as an operating system.

I did indeed have 2 home pages set. Eliminating the 2nd one solved the problem. Thank you.
