T Bird 31.1.0 goes to "not responding" whenever I try to do anything - open an email, change email addresses etc.
two computers one with Windows XP, one with Windows 7. I can't even switch between email accounts. I also can't open emails or send.

Still In Windows safe mode, start thunderbird in safe mode - http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/safe-mode
Does problem go away?
