Sorry, there hasn't a JavaScript "toggle" pref [on/off] in Preferences in quite awhile now. JavaScript can be disabled in the "advanced prefs" page - about:config .
What are you trying to achieve by disabling JavaScript?
Or is that about Java - something totally different, just similar names.
You no longer will find a checkbox to enable or disable JavaScript in the Options/Preferences settings.
You shouldn't disable JavaScript as that will cause problems on a lot of web pages that rely on JavaScript working properly
Why do you want to disable JavaScript?
Thank you for the reply, yes, I think I maybe made a mistake and downloaded a similar program (?) ... the logo is an "S" inside a round shape. It seams that Javascript has a different logo. The problem is that appeared a yellow stripe on the bottom of the firefox window and I have to allow new pages very often now.. I don't need it and I can't find a way to delete it. There is nothing similar in the applications file and I'm not an expert..
Thank you for your reply. This message appear when I want to open some sites: "This site requires JavaScript and Cookies to be enabled. Please change your browser settings or upgrade your browser." It is annoying to allow nearly all sites I want to access...
..now I'm getting confused.. this is another message appeared while trying to sign a petition on line: "You seem to have had an issue loading this page or you have javascript disabled, which may cause problems while using Change.org. To avoid any further inconvenience, please enable javascript in your browser and refresh this page. "
Hi guys.. I did reset Firefox and everything is back to normal. Thank you :)
