So Im suddenly unable to access some websites. It says error and some other stuff like check your internet connection. I've tried everything I can think of. My antivirus program removed all virus that I had so my computer is now virus free. So if this issue is not caused by virus, then what is it? I mean, I can access all websites I want on my smartphone with the same connection, but on the computer it just doesnt work.

Depending on the malware that you removed, you may have additional steps after removing it. For example, some malware can change your Windows HOSTS file which would impact your ability to browse on your computer.

Try to do some more research on the specific malware you removed to see if there is anything else you need to do.

What Operating System and what security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
