I have ask this before, but never solved. After about a half an hour of browsing, choosing Print results in the print preview window,, but choosing Print it just dings. My Printer is installed as the default printer, and the Windows xp pro sp3 is a new install (c drive reformatted), and Firefox 32 a new install (but restored by Mozilla Backup).

Temporary Fix is to restart Firefox. Hard to diagnose because Safe mode requires a restart, as well as disabling add-ons .

I have run across numerous Firefox users with the same problem, but have yet to hear a fix.

Go to the web site of the printer support. Check for any updates. Also see if there is a support forum there.

This is a Firefox problem, not the printer. Print works on all other applications, and works with Firefox, after restart.

That "ding" isn't from Firefox. It is generated by the operating system due to an error that Windows detects, such as the Printer Status not being "Ready".
