I want to download all the files , windows, system and data from my computer to Thunderbird and then be able to restore them to a new hard disc if there is a major problem. I also want to be able to access individual backed up data files from the thunderbird backup to the original computer In short I want one hard disk in my computer that I normally use and a total backup of it on a pocket drive for file and/or total restoration.

Thanks,

Mike

Thunderbird is an email client. It can't help with backup of your Windows systems files.

If you want to backup your Thunderbird data, you need to copy or archive your profile. But if your backup includes Users (specifically AppData) then this is being done already.
