Trying to save a template to desktop for message taking.
In outlook I could save a template to desktop and have the ability to open and take a message. If I copy the template from template folder to desktop, then it saves in .eml which does not help because then it does not have a send button. If I save as html, then it kinda works but then puts the email as an attachment. I just want to have a pre-formatted email on the desktop so that all my receptionist has to do is click to icon fill out a few fields such as who, what time, and what the message was, then put in the address of who the message was for.

No I already read that. I know how to create templates I want to be able to save them to my desktop. Then only having to click that icon that opens that template.
Hello,
Here you can change the template folder:
If you are on the latest version: "3bar menu icon > Options > Account Settings > [account] > Copies & Folders"
If you are on older version of thunderbird: "Tools> Account Settings > [account] > Copies & Folders"
Did this solve your problem? Let us know. Thanks.
