where are my bookmarks, please?
Dear Firefox Support,
A few days ago, I was using Firefox as usual, with my bookmarks stored properly in the Bookmarks menu, and the ones I use the most in my toolbar. I have just now switched on Firefox, only to find all my bookmarks have disappeared. The favourite bookmarks I had have also disappeared, and the favourite sites I had saved have disppeared, too, since there is no toolbar. I had recently refreshed Firefox. I had many (perhaps 100) bookmarks, and they are all gone. I cannot access them, since Firefox has completely wiped them out.
Could anyone help me, please?

Dear JSCHR2000,
Thank you very much for your reply. Feel somewhat sheepish now, as the right-click on the tab menu certainly got everything back. Thanks again,

When you use the Refresh feature, Firefox generally creates a folder on your desktop named Old Firefox Data and places your old settings files inside it. If you can find that folder, please hang onto it in case it's needed to restore your bookmarks.
You can display (or turn off) Firefox's built-in Bookmarks Toolbar using one of these methods:
- right-click a blank spot on the tab bar (or the "+" button)
- tap the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar > View > Toolbars
- in Customize mode > Show/Hide Toolbars
Does your Bookmarks Toolbar have the missing bookmarks -- or any bookmarks?
And a question about the favourite bookmarks: were these on a different bar, such as the Yahoo! toolbar, or were you using the PlainOldFavorites extension to display your IE Favorites inside Firefox?
And a question about the favourite sites: do you mean on Firefox's new tab page or were they in a different place?
