Cannot check plugin status even in Safe Mode

more options

Since updating to 36.0.1 Firefox will no longer check the status of any plugin, the little loading circle just keeps on spinning. I've tried a clean installation of flash, I've tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode and disabling all the plugins/add-ons and I've also tried stopping my firewall and antivirus. Firefox is my default browser and I havn't installed anything recently that would affect it.
