I have never gotten sync to work on my pc laptop and desktop. The FF vers. I have on both is 38.05 and I use ABP. does this hinder the usage of sync option?

I have never gotten it to work on either device, The only thing that syncs are my bookmarks. But if I am on the desktop and want to use the laptop on the other room none of my tabs are open, I have to open them all over again manually. I do not have an android device to test this on.

No tabs should be syncing if you have this preference/options selected here: put this in a new url with out the brackets [about:preferences#sync]

If disconnecting the account and signing in fresh does not start a sync consider this:

  • What is not syncing? You mention that its just tabs. If both are actively syncing they will be listed in about:sync-tabs
  • Are there any error messages? What are the errors?
