Firefox keeps blinking off for a sec, then back on--it won't stay on full screen because of this. What do I do?

For the past couple of days, Firefox keeps blinking. It comes back to the same place, but will not stay on full screen and if any tab was highlighted when it blinked, it does not come back. If my full screen was something like an Adobe Flash game, it often freezes and I have to restart Firefox entirely. I did all of the "if it's a problem with Adobe Flash" instructions and refreshed Firefox, but it didn't make any difference.

Hi, in Options (cog wheel - in the 3-bar menu unless you've moved it), try deselecting Hardware Acceleration as shown in Advanced panel - Accessibility, browsing, network, updates, and other advanced settings in Firefox.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.
