Firefox does sometimes have problems printing pages that use certain style rules. These pages look fine on screen, but the code to paginate them does not work correctly so you get partial or even blank results.

Sometimes you can work around this by selecting the portion of the page that isn't printing using the mouse, then printing the selection (Ctrl+p to call up the Print dialog, then click the bubble for Selection before printing). However, that may work better in IE than in Firefox because IE moves the selection to the top left of the page whereas in Firefox you may lose part of the content.

I don't have access to an iPage account, so could you check something: if you right-click the part that isn't printing, does Firefox's context menu show a "This Frame" entry? If so, does it help to expand that menu and choose Print Frame (I don't have the menu in front of me, so I'm not sure of the exact wording, but it's along those lines)?

Also, I notice iPage mentions various choices for statistics including AWStats, Webalizer. Can you tell which one is set up on your account? Perhaps that will allow searching for more general solutions applicable to that software.

First of all - thank you so much for taking an interest in this problem. First of all - it is now the same in both Firefox and Explorer - and the system is AWStats (I didn't know that until you raised the question). I tried the things you mentioned and they made no difference. Someone else here has been trying to help me and she suggests saving the whole report as a pdf and printing - great if you can save to pdf but right now can't. But really frustrates me is that I have printed this many time before and had no problem - now I have a problem and I haven't changed a thing - and IPage says they haven't - everyone says its Firefox's problem - except Mozilla. And if it was, why would Explorer react the same way. Very frustrating, but I'm very grateful for your interest and attempts to help. If you get any other flashes of brilliance - PLEASE pass them on!!

If that looks significantly different from what you see, it's possible that iPage has customized it, in which case it's going to be hard to see it.

I'm sorry, I don't think I've been clear - nothing on the page prints. Nothing. When I try to print I get nothing but a blank page.

And that's just one page at a time - of a multiple (6 or 7) page report.

Okay, please visit the test page and right-click the report area (not the left column) and choose This Frame > Open Frame in New Tab.

If you call up print preview on that tab using either:

• "3-bar" menu button > Print
• (menu bar) File > Print Preview

Is it blank there, also, or does it show the content?

So I'm hoping that also works with the version of AWStats used for your actual site. Does it? If so, the problem may be the trickiness of printing frames.

The only way this prints now is using AWStats and following your advice - clicking on "This frame" and opening it up in a new window. Would never have thought of that without your help. Can't thank you enough. Really!

Same problem - new issue - I need that "This frame" box but I can't get it to come up - any recommendations about how to always get to this box? I've found I need it to print my stock reports now too. Again, thank you so much for all your help.

Stock reports might be laid out differently than AWStats, which is simply a embedded web page. Some probably are PDFs, in which case, the PDF viewer should have its own print button (and in the case of Firefox's built-in viewer, a button to download/open the PDF in an external viewer). Other reports may be interactive and use a plugin.

When you right-click the report, does the menu mention any plugin (e.g., for Flash, it's usually mentioned on the last line).

Thanks so much for getting back to me - First big issue - I cannot get back to that box that allowed me to select "This Frame" - I have right clicked EVERYWHERE and nothing. The box where it normally occurs - the one that starts with "Save Page As..." where This Frame is found does not contain the frame option. Why is that and how do I get it back when I need it? Does this make sense?

"This Frame" only appears on the menu when the page you are clicking is a framed page. So you won't see it most of the time.

There are two kinds of framed pages:

• Traditional: The server sends a frameset page instructing the browser to load individual pages into different parts of the frameset to make up the whole page. AWStatus uses a traditional frameset.

• Inline: The page contains a rectangular area that embeds a completely different page. When you see a YouTube video embedded into a different site, it usually is through an inline frame or "iframe".

Thank you - now I see how that works - and the only time I see it is when I first open the statistics page - so if I click on it immediately, and select a new window, I have no problem printing. But if I've been fooling around and navigating back and forth, it doesn't show up. I don't care why that is - I only know that you have saved my life and solved my problem. And I learned a lot along the way - thanks for explaining it so well. And thanks for coming to my rescue
