I tried to enter my gmail password and received a reject notice and then I received an email from google - "Someone just tried to sign in to your Google Account greenwood.al@gmail.com from an app that doesn't meet modern security standards."

You have to log in to your Google account and configure it to allow access by "less secure" apps. Google doesn't like TB.
