The browser.search.showOneOffButtons setting is missing in about:config. I have the firefox classic theme restorer installed and the setting is missing there as well. How can I add this setting back in to revert the search box?

The browser.search.showOneOffbuttons pref is no longer supported in Firefox 43+. You can find this feature in the CTR Options/Preferences.

  • CTR Options > General UI (1) -> Old search (experimental)
