delay in opening homepage window

When opening Firefox it takes 3-4 minutes to open a browsing window. In order to start browsing immediately, I need to open a New Private Window. While browsing in the private window, 3-4 minutes later the homepage browsing window opens. I am using Firefox 43.0.3.

What is your home page?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Thanks, I followed your suggestion but instead of starting in safe mode I selected refresh Firefox. Now when opening Firefox, homepage opens immediately and Firefox is running faster. Thanks, that was quick.
