How do I make Firefox remember web addresses and autofill as I type them in?
Firefox used to save the web address as I typed it in. Say www.youtube.com . When returning to the page at a later date I would just trye 'you' and the full address would pop up and I would just hit enter. I'm not sure why this no longer works. Any help?

You probably have the checkmark removed from the "History" option in that screenshot in step 3. Place a checkmark in that box, restart Firefox and test autofill in the address bar.

Hello You can save your web address as bookmarks. Then you can visit them just one click or putting the address. Please make sure that your browser remember your browsing history(it helps you). If you don't know how to bookmark a webpage then follow this link Create bookmarks to save your favorite webpages

There are two related features:
(1) The drop-down autocomplete list: this should show matches from your history, bookmarks, and open tabs, and may also be set to show search suggestions
(2) In-address-bar "autofill": this appears right under your cursor as you type
Are either of those working, or neither of them?
Unfortunately, no. I'm not necessarily interested in the drop down list. I want the ability to type in 'you' and have Firefox assume I'm going to youtube.com and autofill the address bar. It used to do this but I don't understand why it doesn't anymore. I don't want to have to scroll down in the drop down dialog box. I don't want to be picky either but if there's a setting that I'm missing or can't find than I would like to get that back. I've searched all the settings available in the upper right corner of the screen. No luck.

I understand how to to that. Unfortunately it's not the application I'm looking for. I don't want to have to go through bookmarks. I don't know why Firefox isn't doing this anymore or why this feature is no longer on my computer. I really miss it!

You will probably not be interested in searching from the address bar
- Address bar autocomplete suggestions in Firefox_changing-results-on-the-fly
The autofill on the address bar is soon going to have a lot of guessing to do, unless you help it by for instance bookmarking & possibly tagging some entries. For instance you will likely have visited very many youtube addresses.

Noah_SUMO, THANK YOU! I figured it out with your help! I had to go into options, privacy, and check the location bar history button. Not sure how that setting changed but it's now fixed!
