how do i change the name of a bookmark
I would like to be able to change the name of a bookmark so that it means something to me. However, all I have been able to come up with is this: right-click the bookmark, select properties, and then change the name. The problem is that when I right-click a bookmark, properties is not one of the available selections. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Chosen solution
To open the Bookmarks Manager, press the Alt or F10 key bring up the tool bar, and select Bookmarks. Hot key is <Control>(Mac=<Command>) <Shift> B.
At the top of the window is a search box. Enter the name you want. When you find what you are looking for, click it once. Its information is now displayed at the bottom of the window. This is where you can edit the entry.

Do you mean Properties, and most other items on the context menu, are grayed out?
There is a bug with the Bookmarks Menu on the classic menu bar where most of the items on a right-click context menu are grayed out if you ever used the Customize feature in that window.
This is window specific, so if you launch a new window (Ctrl+n), the problem doesn't occur there. Well, unless you use Customize in that window.
This bug doesn't affect the Bookmarks Menu that opens using the clipboard-looking button (next to the star) on the toolbar. Hopefully that one works for you.
Many thanks to FredMcD, I can now edit Bookmarks. As for jscher2000, I am kind of new with Firefox and so I don't know if I really understood the solution. However, thanks for taking out the time to answer.
Glad to help. Safe Surfing.
