Website dropdowns not staying open

more options

Drop-down menus on websites, the firefox search bar and the address bar won't stay open. They appear for a millisecond and then disappear.

I've unistalled and reinstalled java, opened firefox in safemode and also done the firefox refresh to no avail. There's also a wierd issue that I assume is related in that if I press and hold the "Ctrl" key the resolution of website increases as if i was holding "Ctrl" and "+" shortcut.

Thanks.

This seems to be a trackpad issue as disabling mouse wheel shift and mouse wheel control in about:config stopped the issue of the resolution changing and the shift key acting like the forward button.

Unfortunately I can't work out what setting to change to stop the address bar disappearing...

Happening to me randomly with mouse, no trackpad. Mousewheel default actions for all modifiers are set to 1. It's almost like clicking the dropdown is triggering a double click, no idea really but it's irritating.
