Why is the search function disabled in the linux version of Firefox 48? Kind of the reason for having a web browser , no? You guys must be trying to get people

Firefox 48 has no usable search function without going to already established { in tabs} google site. In Preferences, the search panel is not accessible. Firefox 47 was working fine. This is not progress.

  • distribution.searchplugins.defaultLocale

from "data:text/plain,distribution.searchplugins.defaultLocale=en-GB" to "en-GB"

You might want to take that up with Ubuntu which built your Firefox version.
