I STILL cannot stop Yahoo barging in my my various seaches!!

First solution was: click search panel upper right, find Yahoo, delete it. that worked--for awhile.

It came BA-ACK. Next solution was: click the three parallel vertical bars upper right -->preferences (Mac)-->Add ons-->disable SearchMe. Yahoo still intrudes (specifically, on/in Safari).

How can I get rid of Yahoo for all time and eternity???

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>)<Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove Yahoo Anything. Now do the same in the computers Programs Folder.

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

So wait, let me get this straight: After disabling the Searchme extension in Firefox, you no longer get diverted to Yahoo in Firefox. BUT you have a similar problem in Safari.

We might not have any Safari experts here, so here's a thread from Apple's forum: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6566810
