Suggest you stop anti-virus software from scanning any thunderbird folders on startup. Turn off the email Real Time Protection in McAfee.

So far, so good. I hope this is stable for a long time. Thank you for your advice.
calan,
I am working with McAfee to get more information to fix a crash issue related to this. If you still have McAfee installed, and you crashed (not just script timed out) we could really use your help.
Wayne, I will switch on RT protection of McAfee again and see whats happens. If I can help you with info, be welcome.
calan,
What happened when you switched it back on?

The script error returns if I switch McAfee on again. Without McAfee it seems functionaing Okay.
