The .png image in my .html signature field no longer appears in outgoing e-mail.
I have used Thunderbird as my work e-mail program for years. My outgoing messages automatically include an .html signature file at the end. The .html signature file has both text (my contact info) and a .png image (my logo). A couple of months ago the .png file stopped appearing in the signature field, leaving an empty box in its place. The text portion of the signature file is unchanged.
Thunderbird does not produce an error or warning message; it merely sends the e-mail without the .png image appearing in the signature field. The receipients receive my e-mail intact, except for the missing .png image in the signature field.
I use Win 7 Professional (64-bit) and the latest versions of Thunderbird and Kaspersky Internet Security.
The account settings in Thunderbird point accurately to the correct location of the .html signature file on my computer's hard drive. The signature file itself is not corrupted.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Andrew Kemp.

Does the image appear during message composition? If properly set up, it should appear immediately as part of the signature but if not, Thunderbird can not or no longer find it for some reason, perhaps because the file was relocated. Also see the Signatures article.

It turned out that the .png file was, indeed, relocated. Once the location was corrected, all became well.
Thank you.
Andrew.
