Why is Firefox preventing me from downloading the 21 day free trial of anyDVD?

I want to purchase anyDVD software from Redfox but the company advise me to try it for 21 days free before purchasing it. When I attempt to download it, I get "Secure Connection Failed" "Try Again" AVG pops up stating that is quarantined C://programfiles/MozillaFirefox.exe

Chosen solution

Hello,

please, read this. When the error occur, delete it from the https:// search engine. The link should appear on www.google.com when the problem occurs and you will have https://www.google.com, then delete https and click on page load again.

When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.

Firefox saves downloads to the Windows TEMP folder first, then moves them to your selected download destination. It sounds as though AVG is scanning the download in between those two steps and removing the file because it's dangerous or at least suspicious.

Can you double-check that the source of the download is trustworthy? If you aren't using the publisher's official site, you might check that instead.
