I want to drop my aol...how do I transfer my favorites onto firefox?

I'm a senior citizen, not very computer literate. I'm going to drop my aol browser, but I need to know how to move my favorites over to Firefox. Any detailed help would be greatly appreciated. I've never used anything but aol since I got a computer over 20 years ago. Thanks!

First - why the old Firefox 43.0 version? Very insecure, dating from December 15, 2015. The current version is Firefox 54.0.1.

AOL "Favorite places" need to be exported then run through a converter to get them into the Netscape-1 bookmarks.html format so that they can be imported into Firefox.
