You can use websites like these to see how your location is reported via a reverse DNS look up of your IP. Also make sure that you do not use a proxy. Are you using a mobile connection or do websites use a reverse DNS lookup?

Note that geolocation services usually rely upon a database to translate an IP to a location in case you do not use a known mobile hotspot.
