How do you remove the about:preferences from the search bar when scrolling through bookmarks?
On older versions of firefox, I used to be able to scroll up with the up arrow key just once to get to the bottom bookmark when searching them in my address bar. Now whenever i scroll up from the bottom to get to the last bookmark instead i get about:preferences. I know i can just hit the up arrow once more to get to the last bookmark, however years of opening all my bookmarks by scrolling up now has me opening the about:preferences tab anytime i want to open a bookmark. Is there a way to remove the about:preferences from appearing in the address bar when i scroll through the bookmarks.

Solved the problem. Just changed browser.urlbar.oneOffSearches to false in about:config. Thank you for taking time to help.

Do not think should be able to get about:preferences that way. Is this the same Firefox your posting the message from ? 56 something since do not have send info turned on. Is good idea before posting. Can turn off after. Gives us info to work with.
if is 56 then 2 versions behind and 3 as of today. Why not uninstall and reinstall or can just update if want to to 57.0 released today early https://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Mozilla-Firefox-for-Windows/1032985422/1 Will be on Mozilla's Servers tomorrow, this used for 20yrs. Note : Legacy Extensions will be disabled and or removed.
Then see what that does to your scroll up..... Does not work for me in years.....
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
