I always had a new tab open up blank. Now after the 57 update it opens up to a bunch of stuff like "top site and recommended" that I don't ever want to see.

Why does an update change all of my options. This is the second problem in 2 days.

Chosen solution

Click on the button at the top right corner of the new tab page to disable the sections you don't want to see.
