How to remove the white filter placed on created themes

I have created a theme for myself and to share but the main point of the theme is that it is meant to be a dark theme but the white overlay looks terrible with it and there seems to be no way to remove it from my theme or toggle it in any settings i understand this is likely to aid with readability but at least add some way to make it darker not brighter

Hello, this is a known problem and is being resolved by the new theming API just introduced!
