How can I keep "Body Text" by default

more options

I would like to type ALL e-mails in "Body Text" format; instead, each time I set"Body Text" it is changed back to "Paragraph" format as soon as I hit a Carriage Return.

I didn't see the choice you mentioned - however, as you can see in the attached, there is a choice that I would have thought would work (see red box) but it didn't work at all! The version I am using is 58.0b3 (32-bit). I am using that version at the suggestion of another person (I can't find the thread at the moment) in order to prevent problems with lost Summary Files. I haven't lost a Summary File since changing!

That's effectively the same setting. I don't know when or why the wording changed. Mine (v52.5.2) shows the same wording as yours and not as shown by Toad-Hall.

I don't honestly remember, but I'll try it now!

Now it seems to be working as advertised! Restart was the answer - I'm kinda red faced that I didn't think of that! Thanks to all for your help!

Seems like some option take effect when you change them and others like a restart. Glad you got it working.
