Hi, I have an issue with my Firefox browser Master Password settings. I seem to be unable to Remove the Master Password ot change it in any way?

When I attempt to remove my password I type it in the Master Password to the box and the Remove button becomes clickable, but pressing it does nothing. The box doesn't go away, nothing updates, noting loads.. I can only get the bos to close by pressing X or Cancel, just to see the check-mark from Master Password is still there. If I attempt to change my Master Password, a notification pops up "unable to change Master Password".

I am 100% sure I am typing it correctly (I wouldn't get trough any logins if I didn't) firefox just refuses to modify Master Password in any way. Whats up with that?

Chosen solution

Except I would have assumed you could remove the Master Password as easily as you placed it in in the first place. Why do we have a feature in place you cant remove any other way than by deleting everything.

Anyway, got everything reset now thnx to this one unremovable feature. So problem not solved (since you cant use it without getting f'd), just bypassed via hard reset .__.

Hi, have not spent much time on Master Password as would never use it.

If you go for a reset then you will loose all your passwords.

Then install over top with a Full Version Installer.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Do you currently have passwords saved to you want to keep?

I tried Saving password data with the link provided, and install everything else over, but apparently the Master Password is tied to key4 or logins files because as soon as I try moving those files to a fresh profile, Master Passwords pops back up and once again seems to be not removable. The feature is just completely broken :\

So the only way to get rid of it is to kill every password on the machine... what a great design <__<

Hi actually it is security. Should not just be counting on a computer program.
