Hi,

Running FF 60esr. The preference browser.photon.structure.enabled is not found in about:config. Adding it does not work. Has this feature been removed? If so, is there another way to get the pre-photon 3 column menu back? thanks

That pref is gone. You shouldn't be using 55 on any computer connected to the internet. Please update.

Why are you using Firefox 55? Please update to either Firefox 60ESR, or 62.0.2. 55 is no longer supported.

I'm not aware of any built-in setting to change the layout of the application menu. You could look for a style rule workaround on a site like the following:

I am currently testing 60esr before wide release to all PCs. I don't just arbitrarily dump new versions on PCs without testing.

My question stated "I am using FF60esr"... This is the version the question pertains to.

The preference doesn't even exist in FF60esr and doesn't work if added. So I'm wondering if the feature, introduced in FireFox 57 has since been removed. IT appears so.

There are two showstoppers from moving off FF55... The SVG images which I can't change, and now the compact menu. Everything else I've been able to address.

I couldn't find any solutions on Reddit, but I'll try again.

Thanks for the definitive answer.

I hear you.. I am aware of the risks of using the version we are using (Which is why I am testing v60esr. As I said, I don't just arbitrarily update or leave browsers to auto update, particularly when UIs are changed - That just freaks people out!).

Until I can find a browser that suits our needs though, we will be staying put.
