I have a "SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP" message for a page i used to open. What can i do?
I use firefox, version 48.0.2 in a MAC OS X 10.6.8
I have the following messages these last months from sites i've already used in the past...
and
Code d’erreur : NS_ERROR_NET_INADEQUATE_SECURITY"
Apparently there is no obvious option to divert this notification, so i cannot visit these sites any more...
I've tried Safari which opens the 2nd site but not the first...
I know that my software and hardware version are old, but how can i trick the machine or, if i may, solve the problem, in order to do my job?
Thank you!!!

hi, those websites are requiring modern security/encryption standards which weren't implemented yet back in the old version of firefox 48. i fear this will be inevitably getting more and more common when staying on an outdated browser version.
depending on your hardware you might be able to update to a newer version of macos where current firefox builds are still able to run: https://support.apple.com/HT206886 Firefox support has ended for Mac OS X 10.6, 10.7 and 10.8
Maybe a VPN is able to act as an intermediate between such websites and your older computer. This website only supports TLS 1.2 and a few modern cipher suites.
You can check your browser.
Thank you, i opened the two links, as far as i can understand, one is for analyzing the site and the other my browser. Where do i have to search for the incompatibility?
Also, where do i find a vpn and how do i install it? Is there any for free?
Thanks for the reply!
