I am able to receive but not send any mails from Thunderbird with me sytrusze@me.com account.

Yes, I have enabled 2FA and generated a thunderbird password within my apple settings but I am getting an error upon sending. I've tried removing the @me.com part but with no luck. I've followed a bunch of articles found on google but with no luck.

Any ideas?

ps. wasnt able to upload attachments so I've put them here; https://www.dropbox.com/s/93dj848itcibzf9/2019-07-02%2001_37_58-Account%20Settings.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/18por0artdj134z/2019-07-02%2001_38_51-Alert.png?dl=0

Chosen solution

I fixed it. For some reason there was a different mail in the From section in my draft mail...I changed it to the right mail and it works fine now.

Thank you!

You have applied an app password and changed the smtp User name to the part of the address before the @, so I can't immediately see what's wrong. See if the discussion here offers any insight.

The Alert suggests the From address, sy****@me.com, is not the same as the one for the smtp on which the account is sending. A similar error has appeared elsewhere when the account has a Reply-To address that isn't 'verified'.
