Thunderbird, can you read directly from the imap server and not have a local copy? We work off the network for everything else? Thanks

We have a small office with 5 computers working off a local server which has our imap emails on it. The file is getting too big to store locally on our individual computers and the problem keeps getting bigger and bigger. If we could read directly from the imap then the storage problem is contained to the server only and the individual computers can run without the bloat of mail.

Suggestions please?

Thanks
