I have 3 devices in sync (i mean logged into with firefox account and i could see saved passwords in all 3 devices). One fine morning, unfortunately I have deleted my passwords in one device. Immediately before pressing sync, I uninstalled firefox from there. But some how, these passwords also deleted from the 2nd device. But in the 3rd device, I didnot connect to internet to make sure my passwords are there. Now I could see all my passwords in my 3rd device without connecting to internet. Now how can I restore my passwords to the account without loosing them in the 3rd device. Also how to do the backup of the passwords in the 3rd device for safer side.

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

logins.json and key3.db [v58+]key4.db : These are the password files. Copy Both !

I could find these files in profile directory. If I copy these files from my 3rd device (which didnot delete my passwords) to my first device (where I lost my passwords), will my passwords comes back??

Copying logins.json and key4.db from a working profile to another profile folder with Firefox closed should give you the passwords.

It is still best to keep Sync disconnected or at least exclude the logins. If you have set a master password then Sync can only connect after you enter the master password.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
