Why is AVG Password Protection application able to gain access to my saved passwords on Firefox browser?
Why does AVG password protection have access to the passwords stored on Firefox and then notifies me if my password has been compromised? Isn't this a security issue when avg password protection can access my saved passwords and can this be stopped or prevented (without me uninstalling AVG)? AVG enables the password protection application by default and you can't disable it or uninstall it without uninstalling the AVG itself. Also no AVG Plugin or extension is installed in my browser.

I may have found a better solution. When I created a master password on Firefox, AVG password protection couldn't seem to gain access to my stored password and couldn't generate any report at all.
Best option now is to enable a master password on Firefox.

It isn't possible to turn off the password protection without disabling AVG. The other option would be to change the browser in AVG to Chrome and continue using firefox so it doesn't have access any longer., I believe that'll work
I don't have chrome installed so I installed it and was able to switch to it. However, I did have the latest edge browser installed but I couldn't switch to it at all because it doesn't appear at all on the avg password protection application. Thank you.
