How I can change the cursor from defaulting in the search bar?
When I open a new tab my cursor defaults to the search bar and makes it bigger so I can't have clear access to my toolbar underneath, how can I change that

You can at least, turn off the expand on focus,
by going to about:config and adjusting
browser.urlbar.update2.expandTextOnFocus
adjusting
browser.urlbar.openViewOnFocus
might also make it so it doesn't focus when you open new tab
None of the two solved my problem ,as it seems with the new update the cursor by default starts in the search bar and then if you click somewhere else it goes there
the focus in a new tab page was always on the address bar but this may have become more obvious to the enlarging effect that was introduced in firefox 75 - but entering a search term/url is also the most common action for a user to perform when opening a new tab. if you want to open an entry on your bookmarks toolbar in a new tab, another way to go about that would be to middle-click it (or hold the CTRL-key while clicking it).
I know that , i have changed the configuration for the toolbar to open by default in a new tab but i don't like this enlarging effect it's not helpful and not well implemented
