My original email (verizon) no longer exists and I can't "Reconnect to Firefox Account on my computer" as instructed without it. What can I do? I also just linked my firefox with the new password (GMAIL) to my phone. Please help. Thanks! Barbara T

Hi Barbara!

So I'm assuming that the issue is that you cannot receive the confirmation code that Firefox wants to send, since the email address no longer exists.

If you have not done so already, you need to first change the email address linked to your account. You can change this from the Firefox Account settings page. You need to add a new valid email address as the secondary address and then complete the verification process for that new email address. Then, you will be able to make it the primary email address for your account. That will demote the old email address to a secondary address and it can then be removed from the account.

The issue is that if the email address for your account isn't active, you might run into issues with Firefox asking you to get an email code at some point. In that case, you would need to do the steps from a computer that's already signed into your Firefox Account or create a new Firefox Account under your new email address.

To sign back into your devices once your email address has been changed, you may need to first sign out of your existing account. If you get to the sign in page and your old email address is already filled in automatically, there should be a Use different account button at the bottom of that window that will allow you to change the email address that you are signing in to.

Hope this helps.
