How do I map the junk (or a new spam) folder to my server spam folder using POP3 settings?

There appears to be no way to do this -- unless anyone has figured it out.

That is, Thunderbird operates its own junk folder.

But my service provider has a spam folder. I would like to create a spam folder and map it to that folder, preserving the POP3 settings I use -- the same as I map my inbox to the server.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thank you.

POP accounts only connect to the Inbox. To manage other folders, including Spam or Bulk, the account must be set up as IMAP.
