A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

I do not get any error messages. I believe since the last firefox update the problem started. I use earthlink webmail. previously if I clicked on any kind of an attachment I could choose to save it or open it. Now no choice offered and they just automatically move to save. However if I use IE browser no problem. refreshing firefox did not work either nor clearing the cache
