Copy message to Sent folder...
I'm running Thunderbird 91.8.0, and I frequently get the "Copying message to Sent folder..." message that never goes away, despite the fact that Progress shows 100%. If I hit Cancel, and then Send again, the same thing happens. If I instead just try to X out, I get the message: "Thunderbird is currently in the process of sending a message. Would you like to wait until the message has been sent before quitting or quit now?" If I click Quit, the message is sent, but I have no copy in my Sent folder. If I click Wait, the waiting goes on forever. It's not a huge deal, but I would really like to have copies of many of these emails in my Sent folder. Also, it's generally more of a problem with emails addressed to multiple people rather than individuals. Help!!!

How so; as in mail merge, or just a single message with multiple recipients in the To and/or CC and BCC fields?
A single message with multiple recipients in the To field.
Do you have an Anti-Virus product scanning outgoing mail? It might be interfering by scanning outgoing mail and also scanning the newly opened Sent mbox file, so Thunderbird may have trouble writing to it.
The best way to test if another program is interfering is to do this:
Exit all running programs. Restart computer in 'Safe Mode with Networking' mode - you may need to use an ethernet cable to connect to router to do this. computer will boot up using basics Start Thunderbird and test sending email.
If emails are now working much better then you know it is likely your Anti-Virus was interfering.
If AV is causing a load of problems then make sure it cannot scan any Thunderbird profile folder or contents therein. Stop scanning outgoing mail.
Nope, no antivirus scanning the emails.
What OS are you using ?
Windows 10 Enterprise
