I am new to Thunderbird and just used it to access a Gmail account.

I sent two messages to two different email accounts which I also owned. Those messages appear to have been sent in Thunderbird, but they have not arrived.

I went to if the message had been Sent. However, I can see no "SENT" folder in my Thunderbird account.

I checked in the equivalent "SENT" folder on the Gmail account that Thunderbird is accessing. The messages are there.

In summary: The messages appear to have been sent, because they show up in the Gmail account. But they cannot be found in the Thunderbird account because there is no SENT folder and those messages have not arrived at their destination.

Any insights or suggestions?

Two possibilities: - in the online account, it is possible to set which folders are viewable from an email client - within Thunderbird, the option exists on which folders are to be viewed via subscription. To check this on Thunderbird, right-click the account in left sidebar and click 'subscribe.'
