I installed firefox. Then attempted to import all my bookmarks from google chrome. To my shock, not all bookmarks were imported.

It will take enormous effort to manually load/ copy all bookmarks from chrome to firefox by hand...... is there a easy way to correct this ?

Sorry to hear about this problem. You could try doing it manually: export a file from Chrome and import it into Firefox. This probably will cause some duplication so you might want to test whether it works, but then clean out your bookmarks and do it for real.

Chrome

Scroll down to the "Move bookmarks to another browser" section of this article: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/96816?hl=en

Firefox

Use the steps in this article: Import Bookmarks from an HTML file

Now... that may lump all the bookmarks together into an Imported Bookmarks folder instead of restoring them to their original locations in Google Chrome, because many things do not match between the bookmark systems. You can use the Library window to re-organize. See the "How do I organize my bookmarks?" section of this article: Bookmarks in Firefox.
