why do I get and fix the following alert: "a unique identity matching the From address was not found. The message will be sent using the current From field and settings for..."
When opening received message the message is indicated to be From me, and not from who sent it. The following alert is at the bottom: "a unique identity matching the From address was not found. The message will be sent using the current From field and settings for..." How to I fix this problem? Thanks.

Hello
what's your Thunderbird version ? subsidiary question: are you aware how odd it sounds that you are opening a *received* message and you get a message saying 'the message will be sent...' ? are you *replying* to a received mail by any chance ?
The version is 102.5.1 (32=Bit). Am not replying to a received message. Not only do new messages when opened have who should be the "to" person as the "from" person and vice versa, but all the older messages when opened are similarly affected. This was not a problem for older messages when originally opened before this glitch started to happen. Thanks.
Baffling. Can you provide a screenshot ? you can mask your mail addresses, but it would be interesting to see this 'unique identity' message. Also, did you try to start Thunderbird in troubleshoot mode (help menu) ?
I have the same problem, can't open links, can't see pictures. Forced to send e-mails to my other account so I can open them. I have 2 thunderbird accounts and after your upgrade only 1 isn't working properly, fortunately...
I cannot confirm my subscription either, since it will not let me click on the link, sol I had to send it to other e-mail, ridiculous...
