settings window won't display
I'm in the process of setting up a macbook pro running macos Ventura 13.1.
I downloaded and installed firefox version 108.0.1 for macos. When I click on Firefox->settings, no window is displayed. I noticed that an entry for a settings window is added to the list of windows under the Window meu. But when I click on that entry a tick appears alongside the entry but the window itself doesn't display.
If I close all other windows, then exit firefox, then restart firefox, no windows are displayed. The single entry for settings is still in the list of windows under the Window menu and has a tick next to it, but the window won't display.
I've tried rebooting the machine and downloading/re-installing the firefox app, but that makes no difference - whatever I try, I cannot get the settings window to display.
What am I missing?

A diamond in the Windows list means that the window is minimized. Can you reach this Settings window via (Shift) "Command + ~" (Tilde) or possibly backtick (`) ?
Hi cor-el,
I said "... a tick appears ..." and "... has a tick next to it". I don't think I mentioned a diamond.
Whatever .. I tried using shift+command+tilde when the entry for the settings window was marked with a tick, but the settings window wouldn't display.
Click the Start icon, type Settings, and select the app from the list. Right-click the Start icon and select Settings from the menu. Press the Windows and I keys together simultaneously. Press the Windows and R keys together simultaneously to open a run box and type ms-settings: and press the OK button

Hi Will,
I said: "... a macbook pro running macos Ventura 13.1".
So: no Start icon, no Windows key and no ms-settings. Not sure what the equivalent of these would be on MacOS.
