I have a btinternet email account, using Thunderbird as a client on two different (Win 11) PCs.

The read status of email messages is not syncing between the two clients.

Is there a fix for this?

Chosen solution

Thanks David! All messages were visible on both PCs, but the read status wasn't synced between the two. A message read on one machine would appear unread on the other.

Indeed the problem was with the setting on one of the PCs, which was using POP rather than IMAP access.

All works perfectly now that both use IMAP.

Thanks again!

You're saying that a message received on one PC is not viewable on the other? I suggest you recheck the settings of each PC, as IMAP doesn't have any settings that restrict access.

Thanks for feedback. That was my hunch, since there was a similar post yesterday. I'm glad all is well. :)
