Firefox updated (to v116.0.2),-- BUT THE PROBLEM RETURNED after I exited Ff and then rebooted it.

"Settings" Home page Startup is "New Windows and Tabs" (Firefox default)

Hi, were you customizing your home page setting, and after exiting and restarting Firefox, your custom setting is lost? Or did you have Firefox set to restore your previous session windows and tabs (this is on the "General" section of the Settings page)?

Did you notice any other changes after the update that would make us suspect that all of your custom settings were reset, or was it just that one?

Maybe we should continue in the following thread instead of starting from scratch here:

By the way, it's totally normal for Firefox to restore your previous session when it restarts to complete an automatic update. You can't really tell from that whether your settings have changed.
