I followed your suggestion to increase security and installed a primary password. My Samsung computer has apassword storage as well. the first time I used the properly verified primary password, it worked fine to get into my gmail. Now, when I want to open my gmail, a window asking for my primary password pops up, but repeatedly asks for the password and does not let me in. It blocks the Google pop up that also wants to verify it is me. I have removed the primary password in order to be able to use my computer!

If your unfamiliar with how your samsung store your passwords/logins you should know what it is doing. And that popup asking for primary password isn't a Gmail or Firefox caused but what every site your on that is asking that. So not sure what which primary password your referring to here. Alot of confusing info and poster should proof read that they are posting about what issues. Also Google doesn't do popup for logins if you use Gmail site there is the only play your login goes to the login Gmail.

You appear to have the "LastPass: Free Password Manager" extension. You can only use one Password Manager at the timed, so your issue might be caused by a conflict between Firefox and LastPass.
