Memory leak issue with Firefox on Hulu?

Not sure the best way to describe the issue, but it seems like Firefox is not able to or doesn't clear memory when streaming Hulu for a while. It just slowly accumulates memory usage and eventually just hits a point where the tab crashes and doesn't continue until you close and reopen the site.

Is there a way to mitigate this or is it a known issue where it can't clear memory?

I have 32GBs of ram (about half occupied system wide), but Firefox appears to cap out globally between 7 and 8GBs, then Hulu freezes, forcing me to close the tab and go back to its home page.

This article may help.

Do you have other tabs open which you could close or unload?

There is a button to minimise memory usage on the page about:memory but it is an unsatisfactory tool.

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?
