If you’ve lost your master password in Firefox, you won’t be able to recover it, but you can reset it. Here’s how:

  • Open Firefox :and go to the address bar.
  • Type: about:config and press Enter.
  • Accept the warning by selecting “I accept the risk!” if it appears.
  • Search for signon.management.page.fileImport.enabled.
  • Right-click the result and select “Reset.”

This clears all saved passwords and encryption keys, so you’ll lose any stored logins but can set a new master password.

After resetting, you can set up a new master password under Settings > Privacy & Security > Logins and Passwords.
